In my own Ink: The Intimate Power of Words

In My Own Ink: The Intimate Power of Words is a sequence of twelve staged photographs following a female figure across different stages of life. Words appear throughout the series in different forms: sometimes written, sometimes encountered, sometimes felt more as a presence than as something fully spoken.

The work moves through interior moments where language, memory, and the body seem to press against one another. Here, words are not treated simply as language, but as something that can mark a life, echo through memory, and leave an imprint on who we become. Threaded through the work is a quiet search for inner peace and belonging. These photographs remain in that fragile space between expression and silence, where meaning begins to emerge slowly, unevenly, and with the possibility of transformation.
